Precision Agricultural Technologies

Global Positioning System (GPS) technology is being integrated into production agriculture through yield monitors, guidance and automatic steering systems, and variable rate controllers. Current research information is being collected to explore additional farm applications of GPS. K-State Research and Extension is studying variable seeding, fertilizer, and pesticide rates to define profitable uses of spatial information.
