Extension

Extension and outreach are critical missions of land-grant institutions that “extend” their intellectual resources and “reach out” to solve public needs through non-formal programs. Our extension work provides the assessment of point and non-point source pollution in Kansas watersheds and assists local watershed residents to better manage their natural resources. We are engaged in helping residents to prepare the EPA Nine-Element Watershed plan and identify critical areas for placement of Best Management Practices.
