College of Agriculture
The BAE Department is proud to have many scholarships available to current and incoming students. You will be considered for all departmental scholarships for which you qualify. Fifth year seniors will be considered depending on funding availability. Kansas State University publishes a listing of all scholarships available which includes approximately 120 scholarships offered through the College of Agriculture and Engineering which ar available to Biological and Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Technology Management majors.
Degree Name Eligibility Requirements Annual Amount
Kansas Section ASAE* Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Technology Management student. Preference given to new or transfer student.
Kansas Food & Energy Council Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Technology Management student. Preference given to freshman with background in youth electrical education programs, i.e., 4-H, FFA, Boy Scouts, and/or employment in the electrical profession.
Martin Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Technology Management student. 2.0 minimum grade point average. Financial need is the top priority in selecting recipient.
Melvin Junior or Senior in Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Technology Management with a 3.5 minimum grade point average. Must possess outstanding character, leadership potential and strong moral traits.
Roberts Biological and Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Technology Management students dedicated to completing the bachelor's degree in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
John Deere Biological and Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Technology Management students with an interest in future employment in the management of a John Deere Dealership upon graduation.
Bullock Agricultural Technology Management student. Emphasis based scholastic merit, student leadership in school affairs and extracurricular activities. Preference given to students from Glasco, Kansas.
Lipper Agricultural Technology Management student. Must have completed at least three Agricultural Technology Management courses with no grade lower than a B.
Melia Agricultural Technology Management students dedicated to completing the bachelor's degree in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering with a 2.5 for freshmen and sophomores; 2.9 minimum grade point average for juniors and seniors. Preference given to students from Ford or Comanche counties.
Carleton Biological and Agricultural Engineering student properly enrolled in the College of Engineering. Kansas native given preference.
Central Plains Irrigation Association This scholarship will be designated to undergraduate students who are enrolled in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering curriculum. Preference will be given to students with a family or experience background associated with the agricultural irrigated industry in Kansas and whose studies may lead to a career beneficial to Irrigated Agricultural businesses.
Chung-Kim* New or transfer students in Biological and Agricultural Engineering with emphasis in Processing. Must have a good scholastic record.
Fairbanks Biological and Agricultural Engineering student. Must be a native Kansan.
Feldhausen Biological and Agricultural Engineering student. Kansas high school graduate. Preference given to a student from Marshall County.
Fenton Must use scholarship during Junior year in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. 2.5 minimum grade point average. Financial need to be considered when candidates are otherwise equal.
Johnson Biological and Agricultural Engineering student. Financial need is to be a high priority.
Kasten* Biological and Agricultural Engineering student. Emphasis on international program involvement. Must use scholarship during Sophomore, Junior or Senior year. Scholarship may be retained for one to three years if student makes adequate progress toward the degree and has continued active interest in international program involvement.
Larson Native Kansan. Biological and Agricultural Engineering students with 2.5 minimum grade point average. Financial need is top priority.
Manhattan Chapter, Soil & Water Conservation Society An applicant for the scholarship must have successfully completed at least one year of study at Kansas State University by the time of the award, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better, be an undergraduate enrolled in a Biological and Agricultural Engineering curriculum, be working toward a B. S. degree, be a U.S. citizen, and have an interest in natural resources conservation.
Stapleton* Biological and Agricultural Engineering student and dedication to completing the bachelor's degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Submit a stamen of up to 500 words describing your dedication to completing the requirements for a bachelor's degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
Pickett Designated for BAE students in conjunction with the College of Engineering.
POOS Designated for BAE students in conjunction with the College of Engineering.
Schroder Designated for BAE students in conjunction with the College of Engineering.
*Individuals applying for the Chung-Kim, Kasten, or Stapleton scholarships will need to include a statement describing their interest towards completing the requirements for a bachelor's degree. Some donors have specified that financial need should be a factor in awarding scholarships; a statement or details about your financial needs may be useful in making evaluations. Some donor's provide scholarships for students who plan to work on a specific industry; a statement about your career goals would be helpful in this case. These statements should be sent to Biological and Agricultural Engineering Scholarship Committee.
