I am an Extension Agricultural Engineer with K-State Research and Extension. My major emphasis is involved with technology and management related to irrigated agriculture. My current educational programs focus on ET-based irrigation scheduling, center pivot sprinkler irrigation efficiency and uniformity, and Subsurface Drip Irrigation (SDI). Irrigation scheduling and center pivot evaluation are also part of the Mobile Irrigation Lab (MIL) program. I am also active in the Ogallala Initiative project which is a project focusing on water issues in the Ogallala aquifer. I provide some assistance to several water quality programs, which include livestock wastewater utilization in center pivot and SDI systems and encouraging wellhead protection for private rural water supply wells.
