Allie Archer (BSE Senior) has been selected as the 1st recipient of the ASABE Global Learning Award for 2011.

Word has just been received that Ms. Allie Archer (senior majoring in Biological Systems Engineering, second major in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, Master’s student in Biological and Agricultural Engineering) has been selected as the first recipient of the Pharos of Alexandria Global Learning Award for 2011! 

Allie will be honored with the presentation of this award during the 2011 ASABE Annual International Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday, August 10.  This award was established in 2010 by Awatif El-Domiaty Hassan, Professor Emeritus of North Carolina State University.  The award honors and recognizes an outstanding undergraduate upper-class level (junior or senior) or Graduate ASABE student member who exhibits interest in engineering problems and global learning outreach.
