Thank you for visiting the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. We offer two undergraduate degree programs: Biological and Agricultural Engineering (BAE); and Agricultural Technology Management (ATM). You can learn more about these programs and career options through our Undergraduates link on this page. We also offer M.S. and Ph.D. graduate degrees in Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
Biological and Agricultural engineers advance the knowledge and application of engineering to living systems, agriculture, and the environment. They provide engineering input to safely and efficiently produce and process useful products like food, fiber, energy, chemical feedstock’s and pharmaceuticals. The ATM curriculum prepares students for careers that require understanding of both technology and management. ATM graduates may work as a field test analyst, regional product manager, plant manager, and engineering technician, or a farm manager.
In addition to teaching courses our faculty also conducts nationally recognized research to generate new knowledge and provide state-of-the-art engineering and technology through educational outreach and extension programs. Please continue to explore our web pages to learn more about us, our programs, how we may benefit you, and how “We Bring Solutions to Life.”
